We are here to prepare you for the hot summers ahead, and
give you some insight on items you should have readily available in your car,
and a few items you should put away now before they melt in your car!
Of course carrying extra water and staying hydrated is
extremely important in the summer, we don’t want anyone passing out! But it may
be a good idea to purchase a steering wheel cover or if you don’t think you can
find any shade to park in a windshield sunshade. Your hands will thank you when
you’re trying to drive and they are not forced to touch a steaming hot steering
wheel.
In hot climates your car will be working harder than usual.
So make sure to regularly service the vehicle with consistent oil changes and
have the service department check out that belt while you are there. Also when
you crank up your A/C it pushes your battery even harder. So be sure your
battery is ready for the tough summers, because we don’t want you getting
stranded outside in the 100+ degree weather!
Before you go on any trips remove any plastic from your car
such as CD’s, tapes or if you have any kids DVD’s. Also, if you have any
cleaning products it would be a good idea to take those out as the chemicals
can find their way into your vehicle, and well that’s dangerous for everyone.
So be prepared and follow a few of these guidelines for a
fun-filled and safe summer!
